The Willy-Brandt-Haus in Berlin is hosting one of the most diverse photography events in Europe. From November 8th till January 21st ,The Sony World Award exhibition has put on display a selection of photos from the world’s biggest photography competitions.
Some 227,000 photos by photographers coming from 183 countries have been showcased at different venues of the event. The main theme and focus of the gala are international political and social issues. Over 200 of the selected photos are displayed in Berlin.

The Sony World Photography award was launched in 2007 with the support from the World Photography Organization (WPO) to promote professional, amateur and student photography and provide the photography industry with a global platform for communicating and presenting current trends in photojournalism, fine art and commercial photography.
